Beach-Cleaned Building Block Keyring | Inspired by the Great Lego Spill
A keyring inspired by one of the most famous marine pollution events in UK history.
In 1997, a cargo ship lost containers off the coast of Cornwall, including one carrying millions of toy building block pieces. Decades later, fragments continue to wash ashore, serving as a powerful reminder of how long plastic can remain in our marine environment.
These handcrafted Building Block Keyrings celebrate that remarkable story while highlighting the importance of protecting our coastlines.
Handmade in my Devon studio, each keyring contains genuine beach-cleaned plastic collected during UK beach cleans and preserved within crystal-clear bio-resin. Every piece is unique, carrying its own combination of colours, textures and recovered materials.
